Most problems that cause bleeding gums and gum disease is plaque, a sticky film, such as bacteria, which covers the teeth and gums. It consists of acid secreted by the mouth after eating. The plate is in the spaces between teeth. Gingivitis causes bleeding of the gums and if left untreated, can lead to the most serious form of gum disease, periodontitis. It is a long-term infection that involves the progressive loss of bone around the teeth and may lead to loosening and eventual tooth loss. The less serious causes of bleeding gums are the drug that causes the thinning of blood and lack of vitamins and minerals, like vitamin C.

Bleeding gums is often an indication of something more serious, a warning your body is trying to heal itself. Four major signs of bleeding gums are swollen gums, pain or tenderness, blisters around gums, discoloration of gums and bleeding that occurs around the base of the teeth. Ignoring a problem of bleeding gums can lead to something worse, as bacteria from the infected area can pass through the bloodstream and can cause more infections. The gums are the supporting structure of your teeth and not have proper care of them will lead to tooth loss.

Gum disease can be simple or severe inflammation causing major damage soft tissue and bone that support the teeth. These diseases are caused by bacteria in the mouth. Acids form easily in teeth within minutes eating. A mixture of bacteria, mucus and other particles from the plate covering the surface of the teeth. Plaque can be removed by simple brushing and flossing, but there are areas not easily accessible. When plaque hardens into tartar, a yellow or brown mineral buildup can irritate the tissues of the gums, causing cavities and gum disease.

Here are some of the practices that can reduce the risk of a baby tooth decay before your first visit: Clean your child's teeth twice a day with cotton balls dipped in clear water.Do not allow your child to use a bottle with milk, juice or flavored or sweetened beverage, such as pacifier day or night, water use is the best choice.Teach your child to drink from a cup and wean their children from using the bottle containing the juice or sugared beverages for daytime.Refrain a way to give the baby a pacifier dipped in sugar or jam.

What happens during the first child visit the dentist to determine their reaction to the success of visits. The dentist usually talk to the child to gain confidence and once a child realizes that is a friend, an examination of the child's mouth can be done when the child is sitting on parent's lap. This first review is brief to the dentist with the mouth mirror, telling the child will have only the teeth. From there, the tooth doctor will be able to determine if the teeth, gums and soft tissues are healthy. In addition, oral and facial development of children can be examined.
