As a result of progress in negotiations with the Labor Department, the staff belonging to the PSA, the New Zealand Public Service Association, have lifted some of its strike prompted by accidents at work.

They are looking for an offer of better pay and want to scrap its current salary setting system because, among other reasons and concerns, it is reported as being perceived as "confused, inconsistent and unfair."

Two strikes Notices hours remain in place for Friday 12 June and Monday 16 June. New ads will be published for two strikes on Tuesday 17 June to Thursday 19 June.
