One of the verses in the Bible we can read and move to the right is John 14:9. The Revised English Bible (REB) records as follows: "Jesus answered Philip, not even yet know who I am, even after all my time with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! Let's see if we can use some simple logic with a dash of philosophy and equal parts of openness and docility.
Jesus is the exact image of God. When we see Jesus that we are seeing God. Are you all right so far? Question: So you're the parent, or are you and the Father One?
Huh? Say what? Well, it is a little dark here, especially when trying to make it work with instructions from our past with classic Christianity.
Going a bit more practical. What is your image of God? Are you out there? Do you punish? Do you reward? Is that responsible for pain and suffering? This is what causes the bad, permitting, or have a plan about which we are not aware of any way? Return to the original complex (for some) questions, and this is the real issue for me.
When I see Jesus I know, I see God, the Father, Consciousness, Spirit, Being, AM-tion, etc., I see a vengeful Creator, not one to fear, or sending people to an eternal hell for temporal crimes. More important is what I feel, sorry, what I am! The God that I created (and which we have all created the God we believe and embrace, well, bad or indifferent) is love. JUSTICE Play your cards all you want, but just not a "backup plan" for me.
God does not need a plan for backup.
He is, am, we are. Put any label you want on it, but the Center continues to be LOVE!
